Diversity Scholarship Information and Application

 

Eligibility:

  • You must be a first-time freshman or new transfer student
  • You must be a graduate of an accredited high school
  • You must be a full time degree-seeking student
  • You must rank in the upper 50% of your class; OR maintained a 2.5 GPA; OR have an ACT composite score of 21 or above.
  • You must come from a diverse background
  • You must have applied for admission to MSSU and intend to enroll in a bachelor degree program offered at MSSU.

 

How Are Recipients Selected?

  • Selection is based on class rank, GPA, school and community activities, evidence of leadership and character.
  • Although academic merit and leadership potential are the primary selection criteria, financial need will be considered.

Amount:
Value and number of awards varies annually depending upon funds available.

How to Apply:

  1. Must apply or have applied for admission.
  2. Complete this application which includes a list of co-curricular activities, honors, awards and offices held; and a summary of work experience.
  3. Transfer students must have transcripts on file with Registrar’s Office.
    (Transfer students may be eligible for Transfer Scholarships. Please review the Transfer Scholarship or Non-Resident Transfer Scholarship.)
  4. Must be a full-time student.
  5. You may complete the online application that follows.
